National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Grant
“Agroforestry for our water, soil, wildlife, and livelihoods”
Cynthia Taylor and Katie Trozzo submitted a grant under Grayson LandCare to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundations “Environmental Solutions for Communities” grant on December 10, 2014. The grant is titled “Agroforestry for our water, soil, wildlife, and livelihoods” and includes the development of three agroforestry demonstrations (slivopasture, multifunctional riparian buffers, and alley cropping), assistance for agroforestry-based business development, workshops on topics around agroforestry, development a network of producers, and youth discovery programs and engagement in the project. We will hear back from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation in June 2015. Fingers Crossed.
